Hello.
- Is it possible to desactivate actions buttons (like reboot or shutdown)
on
login screen only for many users and let them for authorized users ?
If you are running gdm - in etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf :
# The Actions menu (formerly system menu) is shown in the greeter, this is
the

Toby,
You didn't find the images, because they don't exist.
Net-Booting a client with a wireless nic is a very tough issue. There's
not enough room in the bootroms to contain all of the code that you'd
need to initialize the pcmcia bus, and configure the card.
The general solution for this

You probably could write a script to kill all of the user's processes. That
would do it, I think, but it could potentially get a bit ugly with some of
the user's programs. Then again, I kill gdm / kdm every night for our
server's nightly processing, and I haven't noticed any problems with
hy again/
And what told you the log about the reason?
not much i looked at the xlog of the client, which just tells me that the glx
module could not be loaded, with an error nr 7. i dont have any idea why
this happens.
This conclusion is definitely not true, I think. The error above
happens
hy there.

take a look at the netboot and etherboot packages, i used them with an old
ndis driver for my nic to make myself a nice floppybootimage, which i wrote on
a disk and which works flawlessly. had to give it some tries though.
as i said here is a part of the clients /tmp/mnt/xorg.log. which i
unfortunatly had to copy from the other screen.
(EE) Failed to load /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so
(EE) Failed to load module glx (loader failed, 7)
hm, i tthink i should go for some kind of centralized logging.

The problem is, we don't have all of the possible broadcom chips in the

You simply need to pass 'NIC=tg3' on the kernel
command line.
For PXE (which i'm sure the broadcom is using), you
need to edit the

All,
I have a strange problem with new VIA Eden clients.
The clients will not boot PXE after a warm boot. The message displayed is:

PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel PXE ROM
The clients work perfectly using the standard LTSP 4.1 kernel (2.4)
