My LTSP server is running Ubuntu Hardy and I can not use compiz (desktop effects) on LTSP clients. Tracking down the problem: /usr/bin/compiz is quite nasty written script which seems to only counts on the locally running X. Give it a remote X (via XDMCP) and it gets very confused. Does anyone hav

Syslogd on my Ubuntu Hardy LTSP server is displaying terminal logs at about 1 log line per second. It can take several minutes to collect logs from a terminal boot. This appears to be some kind of defense against syslog flooding. Do you know of a way to allow full speed logging? Thanks,

David, Thank you very much for the input. I would tend to agree with you however I have been very careful to eliminate the VPN/Firewall. The VPN tunnel between the two routers is an IPsec tunnel and does not filter or NAT any of the traffic. Also, there is no firewall on the TFTP server. Even s
