Supposing you use a standardinstallation the lts.conf file is in yout
chroot (as you mentionend /opt/ltsp/i386/etc).

I am trying to boot with Kernel 2.4.37 from NFS. This has never been a problem,
but due to driver issues I had to put the Network driver (Intel e1000) into an
initrd as a module.
