Gnome and KDE are hogs compared to a WM/DE like Fluxbox or WindowMaker in the same respect that Firefox is a hog compared to Lynx. There is a balance to be met here, and throwing the baby out with the bathwater doesn't seem like a very good suggestion to me. Quark, are you able to 'kill' these
