My guess is that you are mixing two different installations/versions of
LuaRocks, one in `/opt/loc

I am not much aware of LUA and I am completely new here.
I install lua and luarocks in my mac-os(10.9.3) using terminal.below is
command line i used to install
*$ brew install lua*
*$ brew install luarocks*
giving installed successful result.
After this if i execute* $luarocks install
