This is probably not lubuntu-default-settings; it was likely a change
that occurred in the large amount of time between those two uploads.

  lubuntu-default-settings 0.54 bionic wrecks QT apps gui (jasp and
  octave)

Bug description:
  If I upgrade lubuntu-default-settings from 0.50 to 0.54 then the GUI
  for qt apps is wrecked.  The menus are black and invisible and fonts
  and icons are distorted.
