Wallpaper and login background not displaying correctly with Maverick On one machine I have a strange problem. The login screen and the desktop wallpaper display in 16 bit colour. Everything else appears to be 24 bit colour, only the background appears to be effected. This occurred both with

/home/steve/.config/pcmanfm/lubuntu.conf is not getting written to by desktop settings. Right-click on desktop and select desktop settings. Change the background or any other setting and log-out and back in, the settings revert to previous settings. If the above file is manually edited all
