I know we are pass the freeze, but maybe this shortcut could be added to preferences menu for 11.10. I think for a lot of people it's useful to control the mic and all that stuff in alsamixer. Plus, there's nothing to add but this little shortcut :) And maybe there's a way to show lxterminal
