When you select a partition, you need to affect all the space of this
partition. If you want affect less, you need to resize the partition, or
split the partition.

I also had this recently, but it seems to be gone with the last ISO. You
can report a bug against ubiquity is you see it with a recent daily
build : http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily-live/current/

It's because a new version of ubiquity is available. If you use a recent
daily build, it should not appear.

Yes it's normal, we removed it in this cycle. But you can install it
after the installation.

Please run LSC in a terminal and paste the output to a bug report.

No, but it seems that ubiquity is not so strict about the space
available. But it's still a bug, see : http://pad.lv/819538

No, a package available in official repository, but not installed by
default.
