Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] Testing report - network manager
If you then run: sudo iwlist scan Do you see the network? You may have to connect to it after you make it. [Lubuntu-desktop] Testing report - network manager
Hi there Congrats and thanks for all the hard work with Lubuntu! I've noticed that lubuntu B2 (updated) doesn't seem able to 'create new wireless network'. Steps to reproduce - 1. Click network icon in notification area, and select 'create new wireless network' 2. Select wireless security 'none', give the network a name and click 'create' 3. Network manager tries and fails to create the network. Notifies 'disconnected' This is reproducible every time, and I've tried it on a thinkpad x60s and an eee 901. Network creation works fine on ubuntu lucid B2. I've not tried the other security options, but I think there's something to look at here anyway Cheers Roger -- t. +46 (0) 761488167 (Sweden) t. +44 (0) 7812373629 (UK) e. rogeralexanderd...@gmail.com ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Lubuntu-desktop] lubuntu logout menu does not offer "switch user"
Great job on Lubuntu, awesome performance, might be switching from kubuntu! There seems to be no way to "switch user". Logout menu or elsewhere that I could find. Using a fresh install of the latest Lucid beta2 fully updated. Other users have also noticed this, although there is some disagreement: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1382584.html Is this feature intentionally omitted (because you should not be running multiple X-sessions on slow hardware), or is this a bug/omission? happy to help test, etc... -- Oliver Schönrock ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
