[Lubuntu-desktop] hosting an iso
Hi Julien, My permanent host system is not ready yet, so I asked the people who are looking after my hosting at present.. phill: hi, I just want to know if it is okay to host a 600MB cd image that would be downloaded by approximately 20 people ? Hi Steve, It's only for the 10.10 alphas :-) hopefully my main hosting will be sorted out by then and can already host the 10.10 (final) on there, the sysop will use bandwidth throttling if I am putting the dedicated server that I've got a piece of under too much strain :-) Regards, Phill. [Lubuntu-desktop] Changes to the seed
Hi, I made some changes to the lubuntu-desktop package (which was a bit broken recently) for Maverick : - Replacing epdfview by evince : let's try if it's lightweight and good enough. - Adding ace-of-penguins : it's a collection of little games (cards, minesweeper ...). Not fancy but very lightweight :) Any feedbacks / tests are welcome. I don't plan to add any more modifications until Alpha 3, planned for 5 or 6th August. Hi Julien Hopefully by then I will have sorted out how this hosting the iso works :p My internet was having a bad hour and it failed the upload at 98.2 % (three hours that took, I'm on a pretty slow link out here in the contryside). At least once I get the iso ONTO the server I can have look / play with how to make it accessible :-) Regards, Phill.
