Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] Backup Software
A quick view on pybackpack: - The GUI seems good and simple - there is a depends on brasero, which is problematic :) Flyback seems also interesting. But there is so much choice in this area, we really need feedback from users of those solutions. Hiyas Steve, I started with this list a while back http://www.junauza.com/2009/01/7-best-freeopen-source-backup-software.html I use clonezilla, but I was involved in discussions with pybackpack as the dev was looking to make it GNOME independant. http://www.ubuntugeek.com/pybackpack-a-user-friendly-file-backup-tool-for-ubuntu-linux-desktop.html So, there you go. Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] LXDE + OOo Impress + Ubuntu / Lubuntu--> squeezed subscripts
Yes, it works and it's a good idea. But it's still a problem when the document is opened on another computer, like my Gnome-Ubuntu machine. Then it will most likely look expanded. My live Lubuntu session just crashed before I had saved the file to an external drive. So I give up producing any hard evidence for today. Have to go to work now. I think it is definitely something buggy in the border regions between OOo, LXDE and Ubuntu/ Debian. I just don't know who is interested in the problem.
