[Lubuntu-desktop] Ace of Penguin not showing cards

2010-12-05 Thread Steve
Just installed Ace of Penguin on Lubuntu 10.04, derived from the
mini.iso. When it is started only a green square appears, no cards are
displayed. Is there something else to install? or some setting I’m
missing?

Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] Lubuntu Natty Alpha 1

2010-12-05 Thread Zoltan Matlak
Hi Julien,

There is no control center (neither of the two mentioned in earlier emails).
Nor could I find any in the lubuntu-desktop ppa. Sorry if I missed some
useful information related to this, but what is the plan about a control
center in lubuntu 11.04? Can you please just briefly summarize, sorry if I
did not pay attention.

thank you.
Zoltan

 Hi,

This is a quick announcement for the availability of Lubuntu Natty Alpha
 1. I'll be more verbose later to describe new items and futur
 improvements, in an another mail.

The Alpha 1 is a snapshot of the actual development, with minimum tests.
Expect others breakages until Alpha 2. However, you can easily test it
 under virtualbox or qemu.

No, it's broken on 10.04. Only the version in 10.10 is working.

Thanks, I should of remembered as I tried it when we were discussing games
for Lucid.

Clearly the password is correct as I wouldn’t be able to log in and it
works in a terminal.

Try running:

passwd

and set it to something new to test

No change I’m afraid.
Users and Groups, along with Disk Utility accept the password but,
Synaptic and Update manager don’t. So my original message about 'any
program' was wrong.
