First, get a spec for what accessibility we want to see (and have resources to implement) in Lubuntu 11.10 Oneiric. *Then* discussion on what software to use, what integration work needs doing, etc. can start. If the Ubuntu Accessibility team doesn't have a basic prioritized list of things to implement so your OS is considered accessible, then, IMO, we should shelve accessibility features in Lubuntu for this cycle, and start up a blueprint for accessibility in Lubuntu Prolific Panda (or whatever it will be named!). It's not as though we have a surplus of devs standing idle with no work for them to do in Oneiric :) Jonathan ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Lubuntu-desktop] Lubuntu 11.10 roadmap proposal
Hi, This is a proposal for the roadmap of Lubuntu 11.10 : * June 2nd : Alpha 1 * June 14th : End of proposal for applications by default * June 19th : Decision for the modifications of default applications * July 7th : Alpha 2 * August 4th : Alpha 3 * August 11th : Feature Freeze (no more new stuff and new version) * August 17th : End of proposal for artwork * August 21nd : Decision for Artwork * September 1st : Beta 1 * September 15th : Documentation / String Freeze * September 22nd : Beta 2 * September 29th : Final Freeze (only critical changes) * October 13th : Final release We share the same deadline than Ubuntu. Specificities are for proposals and decisions for default applications and artwork. Concerning the Alpha 1, it will probably be still build with the old script (with install-recommends turn on). The goal is to have a real ISO for Alpha 2. Let me know if you have comments about it :) Regards, Julien Lavergne ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] Lubuntu 11.10 roadmap proposal
Aloha Julian, I'd have to get my head into it, but I think it's good that we keep in line with the Ubuntu roadmap. Let's hope they don't change the roadmap during the game AGAIN! By the way, I still think the normal roadmap has deadlines for default apps, artwork and everything. But that's just a side note.
