[Lubuntu-desktop] get lubuntu on Lubuntu website

2011-02-17 Thread Duy Hung Tran

Hi,

I notice that on Lubuntu website, in get lubuntu section the release
notes link takes us to Lucid release notes instead of Maverick.

I remember that someone suggested before that we should have a specific
download page, we could put links to current and older versions of
Lubuntu iso and torrent files. Maybe someone wants to download the older
versions or maybe they don't know that they could get torrent files in
the wiki page.

Regards,

Hello all

Any recomendation for a simple program to take screenshots to
use with Lubuntu? Would be possible to launch it with the PrtScrn key?

Thanx

Hi,

You can use PrtSc key to take screenshots, after pressing PrtSc key, you
will see your screenshots in your home directory, their names look like
2011-01-01-205055_1360x768_scrot.png.

You can also use mtpaint: Layers menu - New layer - choose Grab
Screenshot - click Create button.

I hope these informations could help you.

Would it be an idea to have a list of lightweight applications suitable for
Lubuntu somewhere, such as the wiki or lubuntu.net.

I think this is a good idea, new Linux users don't have enough
experience to find out what applications are lightweight for their
machines or not.

All the best
