Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] Sun/Oracle Java
Hi Benny, FAQ is still targeted for IRC users. People come and asks for the same question time after time. That's why I created it. But if you feel there's no point in it, I wish you will completely remove it from the wiki area, as you mailing-list besserwissers seems to have a better solution for this. I believe FAQs reduce our works in explaing the simple issues often and I support in maintaining a FAQ page in our site. If people has some time to write tutorials ( Provided in wiki.ubuntu.com or lubuntu.net and not blogs), then we can have a tutorials column too. Gilir, We should nominate a person for maintaining the FAQ pages. If Benny or Yorvyk has time, we can put them in(I know Jered has no time to look in to this). I am adding this as an item in the agenda for the next meeting. -- Mohi My Site http://techspear.com/ Ubuntu Beginners Team https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BeginnersTeam Member Join Us https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BeginnersTeam/Membership My Wiki https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Mohan_chml ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Real survey? Dreams came true. http://www.linuxuser.co.uk/reviews/lubuntu-11-10-%E2%80%93-a-cure-to-ubuntu%E2%80%99s-unity-blues/ 3 them more. Quote from the site: Lubuntu 11.10 certainly proves its worth as a full member of the Ubuntu family of Linux distributions and makes us wonder why we were so worried about losing GNOME 2.x. While it’s not as flexible or pretty as its defunct counterpart, Lubuntu 11.10 has certainly got everything you need to keep your computer happy and your desktop clean and clutter-free. -- Mohi Ubuntu Beginners Team Member ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

I think Lubuntu can be a Luring Ubuntu for such users. The review will focus on ease of use. I may recommend apps such as LibreOffice etc. Any pointers are welcome. Please advice. Finding a time for this is ... not very easy :) I don't want to do it during the week-end, to be all able to have a week-end far from IT and Internet connection :) I also don't think we should change the time for every meetings, because it's the best solution to forget the meeting. But, we can change it after some time (like 3 months). I propose to begin with this schedule : Wednesday, 7:00 PM UTC, starting on the 23th. It'll not be necessary to attempt all the meetings. You can attempt when you have subjects to discuss, but you can also adding a subject to the schedule, so people can discuss it even if you can't be online at this time.
