I believe we should keep it simple and small, we have keep in mind
that we have users with old computers (with old monitors?) and small
laptops (ultra-/notebooks).
Big images and screenshots will make the app frustrating to use, we
need to be careful how and when we use them, else we might ruin the
LSC experience for our users.

Here is a very quick mockup[1], but it gives you an idea how I visualize LSC.

Hi everybody, i was just thinking about the use of a sort of 'notebook' 
for the Get/Installed software and the apps basket.
this is the mockup of the elementary app center -http://elementaryositde
v.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/appcenterfront1.png -, look at the second 
'toolbar' (with Get New Apps, Installed Apps...)
i think it could be a good solution to focus the attention on the apps l
ist and so on.
then we can also add the clean section to this toolbar, so a new user wi
ll think: "Ok, this is a notebook bar, when i choose a page i'll jump di
rectly to it"
please let me know what you think.
