20:00 UTC Wednesday is 12:00 Pacific time Wednesday, so that's tricky
for me, I am likely to be at work. Some days I might be able to call
that my lunch break, and join; other days I'll probably be in the middle
of working with a client ... but I won't know which it will be until the
time itself. I'll do my best.

Ok, so I planned the meetings until next year.
The current Agenda will be available on

to discuss to the next meeting. If we don't have time to discuss all of them,
items will be postponed to the next meeting.

I think we have enough topics to start on a weekly base, but we can do
it less often in the future, if it's not necessary.

Finding a time for this is ... not very easy :) I don't want to do it
during the week-end, to be all able to have a week-end far from IT and
 Internet connection :)

I also don't think we should change the time for every meetings,
because it's the best solution to forget the meeting. But, we can change it
after some time (like 3 months).

I propose to begin with this schedule : Wednesday, 7:00 PM UTC,
 starting on the 23th.

It'll not be necessary to attempt all the meetings. You can attempt
when you have subjects to discuss, but you can also adding a subject to the

Let me know what you think about this.

If that's 7:00pm GMT time, it means it's 11:00pm my time. My time is +4
GMT. If that's the case, I'm ok with that. I don't care about the day, all
are the same to me, just the time what is important.

Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] Weekly meetings - Finding the right time

2011-11-14 Thread Chris
If we want the meeting in #ubuntu-meeting (which is preferred I think) then
we should go an hour later. There is already a meeting every week from
"Unity Contributors Team Meeting". Check the Fridge to see which times are
still available for #ubuntu-meeting.

I think the time is pretty good, but that is for my time-zone.

It will be better if we decide about cycling time after seeing the
members present for the meeting

Exactly, we need topics atleast one day before the meeting so that
each can come forward and out the opinions.

+1 from here too for this.
Easier to talk and have debates.
Are we going to use #lubuntu(-offtopic) or #ubuntu-meeting?

Time is great for me, cycling it aint bad idea either when thinking

Hi,

One thing I would like to organize for this cycle, is a weekly meeting

I think we have enough topics to start on a weekly base, but we can do

Finding a time for this is ... not very easy :) I don't want to do it
during the week-end, to be all able to have a week-end far from IT and
Internet connection :)

I also don't think we should change the time for every meetings,
because it's the best solution to forget the meeting. But, we can
change it after some time (like 3 months).

I propose to begin with this schedule : Wednesday, 7:00 PM UTC,
starting on the 23th.

It'll not be necessary to attempt all the meetings. You can attempt
when you have subjects to discuss, but you can also adding a subject
to the schedule, so people can discuss it even if you can't be online
at this time.

Let me know what you think about this.

Julien Lavergne

We could alternate the times. 7PM one week 7AM another?

It doesn't matter what time the meetings are, they will be inconvenient for
some. As long as the logs of the meeting are available for others to comment
on, everybody should be able to have a say.
