[Lubuntu-desktop] A question about GDebi

2012-01-16 Thread Hai Thanh Nguyen
Dear sir,
Just a question, will GDebi be used for installing external deb files in
upcoming versions of Lubuntu? Or it's replaced by Lubuntu Software
Center?
Regards,
Hai

Your question #172161 on Launchpad itself changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/172161

Status: Open = Answered

William Grant proposed the following answer:
The archiver seems to be overloaded at the moment, stuck reprocessing
some very large lists. Hopefully it will clear the backlog in a day or
two and be back to normal.

[Lubuntu-desktop] A question

2011-08-12 Thread Phill Whiteside
Hi, QA,

A couple of people have stated that Lubuntu is not 'really' on the ISO
testing area, one simple example would be http://qa.ubuntu.com/ which does
not even list xubuntu?

I am struggling to send people who would like to get involved in QA when
they return to me to say the site does not work.

If there are any wiki edits that you need to live and active pages I would
be more than happy to get them there. (I also have a gang of people who
would love this in their resumee).

Regards,

Phill.

[Lubuntu-desktop] Dumb question...

2010-12-30 Thread Tim Bernhard
Does the download image on Lubuntu.net get updated?

I downloaded the 10.10 ISO I have back in October. If I were to download
10.10 image today would it be any different?

Thanks,

Tim

Hiyas Tim,

the 10.10.1 has not yet been released, so if have you the ppa's on, you can
get up to date. It is on Julien's very long list of things to do in the new
year. The 10.10.1 will be, as they all are a bug fix release.

Regards,

Phill.

In a word, no. :) Only the LTS images get updated in line with Ubuntu policy.
I for one would like to see ISOs updated during there life time but I suppose
there's only so many hours in a day :(

In my understanding, no the iso is not updated. Once the OS is released than
it only gets updated once you install and update it yourself.
