Hi Everyone,
As far as I remember, we didn't talk yet about The Marketing Team, did we?
or maybe the communication team will do the marketing job?
I see almost everything is set:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/SubTeamsand I hope things will be
finalized soon and everyone will start working on
Hi Ali,
comms will be looking after that. The Art-team do the fantastic banners and
CD folder graphics along with their work on icons, themes etc. (Keeps them
out of mischief :P ).
Regards,
Phill.

Hello Phill :)
I thought so but was in need to check :)
Oh right, it means I'm involved too as long as I'm a member of The
Communication Team :P GREAT!
Since we are talking about Marketing, I have a request or a question to
ask:
Is it possible to have T-Shirt with Lubuntu Printed on? Mugs? stuff
You got my idea, I was talking about buying a distro's CD with a
nice (thanks Rafael!) image printed on it, wrapped into a nice (thanks
Rafael!) envelope, just for collection. However, not sure if items shipped
by that site have all the artwork or just Lubuntu logo.

The 10.04 CD Wallet Images look way cooler and prettier than the 10.10s.
Maybe you can add a shiny glossy effect to them also.
Everything else seems to be fine. I like the bigger Web buttons :)
Due to popular demand (3 mails :D) I've replaced the cd wallet mockups
by another ones that match better the desktop schemes. Have a look:

Absolutely, I'm always trying to be so... discrete. :D I'll increase

It's working but partially for me. I must admit that I didn't work a lot
on polishing indicators integration (that's why it's not enable by
default :))

What do you suggest to write in the bottom? I have to admit I'm running
a 64bit Lubuntu. :-!
Maybe nothing?

Ok, modified. It's white now, resembling 10.04 one, but a bit smoother,
contrasted and soft eyecandy ;). Removed for XXX computers (you may
have a non PC or even a PlayStation, and even mine is not a x86 CPU, so
good reason; just dotted version number).

What you’ve done is excellent. The printed version is a lot clearer and the

Wow, so impressed with the presentation wiki page. Thank you. The
marketing page is more or less up-to-date, I only need to replace the
screenshots, and post some posters and pictures using Lubuntu. It would
be great if someone uses it on his office (a fashion one preferable for
impressing people)
Ha, ha. Yes, you're right, but don't translate with Google, it does very
funny (note: Ralph = Raphael = God's healing, from hebrew, and Laguna,
not Lake, it's a bit smaller :D ).
Well, I have no started with new marketing because artwork is not
confirmed and adapted to packages. But if you need a
Hi,
yeah, the 10.04 is okay, the previous banner was 10.04 ish? sorry to be

I'm working in a theme (mockup only for now). The marketing items, such
as banners, sticks, and other things, will derivate from the main
aesthetic line and, remember, this a bit like a democracy, so you'd

Hi,
thanks for replying, one of things that was discussed was that the banner
should say 'Click here to Download Current Release' and 'Click here to
Download Development Release'. I mentioned 100 px for height as I think the
text would wrap to three lines. Or if you send me that banner with no

should be a little more obvious that it is a download link.
