Wonderful, I look forward to seeing the new branding on Lubuntu.

Thanks a lot, PCMan, but if we do a different style not according with
them we will be like PC/OS, yes, Ubuntu based, but different, and with
an order from Canonical to remove all logos and not being an Ubuntu
family anymore.

Don't WORRY ;-) , I'll just change the logo, the global look won't
change.

But I like your design better.
Why should Lubuntu look similar with Ubuntu?
Can't we have different style?

2010-03-04 Thread Jo Gerb
I have to say that I don't like the new design, and I'm sure that many
users think the way I do. But we will all get used to it and we can't
change it, so I'll just accept it. The important thing is that lubuntu
and it's design will fit into canonicals ideas. If that's the case,
I'm okay with the new design.

Best regards,
Jo

Yes, we're working on it. Canonical official anouncement was
released yesterd and surprised a lot. So Lubuntu really is an Ubuntu
family product we need to match the visual elements according to
some corporative recommendations under the graphic design manuals.

I'm in contact with branding people, waiting for colour and other
graphic specifications. Don't care, Lubuntu will be released
according Canonical's normatives.

I hope not, as I personally find this new look kinda ugly and changed
forcefuly in aspects that could be left alone...
