you can translate it when you want, the only problem is that i'm not so expert in using .po files. P.S. pushed up revision 28, added the threading (the window shows instantaneally, but a progressbar notify the generation of the packages, try it!) and solved some problems related to the new ui.

I tried the newest Lubuntu daily live image and it still has ubiquity 2.7.17 whereas the installer team is now up to 2.7.20:  https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/oneiric/+source/ubiquity/+changelog I haven't checked debian-installer but I'd expect likewise ;^) Sorry for being impatient.

Unfortunately using threads in python have conflicts with aptdaemon, i've removed now, no more cute progressbar :-( a way could be transport the aptdaemon client in a python script and call it from commandline via gio.AppInfo().launch(). i'll take a look at gettext, thanks Julien. Regards
