include another proposal: LxDesign. It does not include openbox or icons
theme yet, but modifies the panel and systray too.

I've installed Lubuntu Alpha 2. Here's a list of packages I think must
be included in final distro:

Please, consider that a browser needs one VITAL thing: manage
certificates. Midori doesn't, Chrome does bad. Only Firefox and Arora
can do it properly, but you already know the differences between them
(size, speed, etc).

options. LxDesign comes with 6 different colours (and a transparent menu

The trick is the combination. I thought there wasn't to make an icon and
GTK theme for matching every colour, and I recommended using Shiki
Colors themes to match. So, if you like the pink / purple wallpaper
combine it with Shiki Noble; you want green, combine with Shiki Wise;
etc. Also, Lubuntu
Another thing I'd remove is the command install suggestions from the
bash. I think it's an standalone package and freezes CPU a lot.

to /desktop/gnome/interface, look for a key called toolbar_style.
You can have four posible values: both, both-horiz, icons, and
text. Try to change here. Have a PCManFM window opened near

Heh, imagine me, trying to install ona Samsung Galaxy S (phone, not
tablet!). I'm sure I can. It has modem, nvidia, pseudo-intel cpu, etc.
It's basically a PC.

It could be nice if Lubuntu uses its own greeter, like KDM does,
focusing on Lubuntu-ish themeing and speed. If you're going to plan to

made theme, but now the theme has been totally reworked from scratch.
The intention is being really clear and sharp, with the contrast and
simplicity in mind. You can check it out (not downloads yet) here:

multifunction. Since the removing of HAL the drivers were unable to find
correctly the printer, and the solution came directly from Brother.

Midori isn't a REAL optin right now, because of handling
certificates and such things. A better option should be Arora. But
Alexander is right. Firefox 7 has improved a lot with beta 7, and 8
is more promising. But I don't give any point until benchmark is
provided.
Well, it's ont sure that Ubuntu istelf will remove all GTK2 packages
and libraries completely. Shuttleworth was clear on it at UDS,
because we're not going to be "cool and modern" but removing things
that are really useful just because they're GTK2.
