Is the Lubuntu Staging PPA dead?
I liked the idea of a PPA that wasn't daily but was solid tested
updates.

The staging area is not really used now as the updates go in via the usual
route. i.e. into debian, then into ubuntu repos. For the areas that are
not yet added fully there is a non-official ppa which holds things like
lubuntu-tweaks, xombrero etc. It is available at
There also seems to be a lubuntu testing ppa, while the updates work,
they aren't 100%, some things like logging out through the panel and
such stops working.
So I guess I was wondering if there is an area
dedicated to well tested updates...

'steps' of debian, where users could test and or use different stages
of testing packages and a packages progression could be measured by the

I'm looking forward to 14.04 and hope that Lubuntu will get 5 years of
long time support, and that quite a lot of efforts will be made to keep
drivers for old hardware as well as new features and drivers for new
hardware.
