After installation using live-cd since i have old machines i get stuck on
the the login details for lubuntu since it does not prompt me to fill in a
user name and password. I have tried severally the long process of
re-installing and still no joy. Kindly assist on how to get about this.

I am surprised that Lubuntu is NOT mentioned as one of the options, nor
StartUbuntu but at least Kubuntu is mentioned, even though I doubt Kubuntu

Yeah I really like SVG graphics I looked into the Lubuntu icons
folder and saw that they are all svg files, so apparently LXDE does
indeed support svg. SVG has a lot of other great uses, like the web,
and integrating JavaScript directly into the SVG. If you like SVG art,
