My first little while running 20.04.1 I left the graphical boot in

login screen. so been running in lubuntu desktop.
Now I got around to setting up my normal preference
I missed seeing the zfs option during install of lubuntu 20.04.1 in a

I'm attempting to create a zfs on root install (Virtualbox vm) with
lubuntu-19.10. When I mount the ISO in Virtualbox setup df -h shows
the user directory being 48 percent used... it leaves very little room
for installing the tools I use like openssh-server and zfs-initramfs.
zfs-initramfs pulls
Setup: Focal running lubuntu in newly built vbox vm.
Built the vm with zfs-on-root and initially setup to just boot into
console.
Once I got X working, I still login to console (by choice) and at some
point restart sddm. I'm then met with a greeter screen (sddm I think)
with A login Icon
Running updated forcal-fossa
I want to boot to console/text mode and later call startx if I want X.
Found the directions for doing that except its for 14.?? from the
handbook and made the modifications suggested there, in
/etc/default/grub. Then ran `update-grub'

Then once logged in still a 19.10 desktop continues being dsiplayed. I
mean it actuall has the 19.10 scrolled

That is due to complications on Openindiana regarding installing
recent vbox versions.]
I've been trying to setup lubuntu as guest in a vbox vm on an
openindiana host (solaris x86 11 off-shoot).
I've run quite a few vms on this oi host some
