I have had this same problem for months now since. Very frustrating as it seems
so random. I have gone as long as a few days without losing connection and
other times I have to reboot several times a day. Never had this problem with
prior version of Lubuntu.

I upgraded lubuntu to the newest version a month ago and ever since then, the
wifi will disconnect randomly and will not reconnect without a reboot. I went
to the forums and could not find a specific answer. I ran the script suggested
