I just installed the 14.04.1 in a Acer latop Inspire. I noticed the
the ibus package known issue, which has a work-around. However, I was
surprised by a 30 seconds answer when pushing the exit button. Do you
think this delay should be in mentioned? Is there a work-around?

How to download other software in 14.10 thru the software center?
Synaptic works fine. I'm running i386 installed from the iso on my
desktop. Connection is OK and I have selected the server for USA. Is
there a special bug page for 14.10?

Hi Henk,
I don't really understand your question.
You can install software from the lubuntu software center or you can use
synaptic to install the regular ubuntu software center or you can just
use synaptic to install software or you can forget the front ends and in
a terminal type:
sudo apt-get

The problem is that the Lubuntu Software Center when reached through the
menu in 14.10 alpha (downloaded today) only shows the installed software
but nothing else.
To get packages with the terminal there is no problem and I have already
installed VLC with Synaptic.
