One of the most exciting things I've seen on this front is DeX from Samsung. It allows you to basically plug in your device into a dock connected to input/output devices and essentially run the phone in a bigger format. However, you're still using the apps on the phone. More recently one of the "apps" they brought to DeX is [Ubuntu][1]. Think about this: Samsung, essentially the #2 player in the smartphone market, and thus the #1 player in Android, didn't bring Android to desktop, but instead decided to run a desktop Linux distro on their devices. > WILL LINUX DIE?
