Re: [lubuntu-users] [Networking] wi-fi disconnects and won't reconnect 16.04

2017-07-17 Thread George Tremoulis
I have had this same problem for months now since. Very frustrating as it seems
so random. I have gone as long as a few days without losing connection and
other times I have to reboot several times a day. Never had this problem with
prior version of Lubuntu.

have tried checking the regulatory domain, disabled ipv6, tried enabling
antenna aggregation, tried 2.4ghz instead of 5, disabled n mode,
disabled bluetooth, disabled bluetooth coexistence, disabled power
management, turned off watchdog, and I am sure I have tried a few other
things that I do not recall at the moment.

Rollback to an older Linux kernel and make some tests.

All these are specific to your OS.

Does it misbehave with other OSes?

Have you tried updating your system's firmware?

When I encounter a similar issue I restart the network service (instead
of rebooting)

systemctl restart NetworkManager

You can also make it a desktop file so it will be in your menu, or on
your desktop.

[Desktop Entry]
