Have you tried 1.4.9.Most of the problems are fixed in it but
the problem of specifying fsid in /etc/exports still remains.
If you are successful then can you please run Posix compliance Test Suite on
top of nfs and lustre separately and share the results with.If you are

please apply patch from bug 10786 and fsid problem are lost :)
this patch also fixes problem with get EMFILE at repeated run lconf at
2.4 kernel, and i think allow nfs failover. (but for this need RHEL4
kernel and nfs-tools also need to be patched)
