Thank you, Bern. "df" claims there is some 442MB of data on the
volume, compared to neighbors with 285GB. That could well be a
fragment of a single, unsuccessful transfer attempt. I can run
lfs_find on it though and see what comes back. Was having problems
earlier, thought I got files back

There is still a Windows Native Client (WNC) project active. They are working
to stabilize the code and improve the IO performance to an acce

Hello Folks,
Can someone help me out figuring out what's wrong here? We have an
MDS/T that keeps causing problems. I have 2 dozen or so dumps from threads
crashing. The threads in question all appear to be either ll_mdt_rdpg_ ? or
ll_mdt_??
I can provide dumps on request, any help w
We added a new OSS to our 1.8.4 Lustre installation. It has 6 OST of
8.9TB each. Within a day of having these on-line, one OST stopped
accepting new files. I cannot get it to activate. The other 5 seem fine.
On the MDS "lctl dl" shows it IN, but not UP, and files can be read from it:
33 IN
We have installed lustre 1.8.2 and 1.8.4 client on Red hat 5. The lustre
modules are not loading during boot. In order to get the lustre file
system to mount we have to add
modprobe lustre
mount /lustre
to our /etc/rc.local file.
Here is a list of rpms loaded

You shouldn't patch the kernel with the ldiskfs patch series
After installing the kernel source...
rpm -Uvh kernel-2.6.18-194.3.1.0.1.el5.src.rpm
rpmbuild -bp kernel-2.6.spec

and patching the kernel...
ln -s /usr/src/lustre-1.8.4/ldiskfs/kernel_patches/pat
It could be both. We had good success with performance improvements up to 1GB
journals, and AFAIK Some customers had reduced their journal size to 128 MB
without significant performance impact to reduce RAM consumption on their OSS.
We haven't really made any testing with reduced journal size to

And another quick question - would this be more likely to be the journal

Hi,
I tried to compile lustre-client 2.0.0.1 on RHEL4 with kernel
2.6.9-89.0.28.EL-x86_64 and I got 3 errors and 1 warning during the
compile.
The compile is executed with -Werror option, and it fails in all 4 cases
