Granted that I'm not an LNet expert, but "errno: -1 descr: cannot parse net

"unknown internface 'ib0' " were printed for the error message. Also "errno:
-1" is "-EPERM = Operation not permitted", and doesn't give the same
A LU ticket and patch for lnetctl or for me being an under-caffeinated
idiot? ;-)

I'm glad it's working for you!
Hmm, if you have your MDTs on a zpool of mirrors aka raid-10, wouldn't

It would seem that the error message could be improved in this case? Could you
file an LU ticket for that with the reproducer below, and ideally along with a
patch?

Actually we had MDTs on software raid-1 *connecting two JBODs* for quite some
time - worked surprisingly well and stable.
Still, personally I would prefer ZFS anytime. Nowadays we have all our OSTs are
on ZFS, very stable.
Of course, a look at all the possible ZFS parameters tells me that
Man am I an idiot. Been up all night too many nights in a row and not
enough coffee. It helps if you use the correct --net designation. I
was typing ib0 instead of o2ib0. Declaring as o2ib0 works fine.
(cleanup from previous)
lctl net down && lustre_rmmod
(new attempt)
modprobe lnet -v
lnetctl
Ubuntu 22.04 client packages are now on the download site

Sorry about that. It’s just an oversight due to us trying to wrap up the
release ahead of the holidays. I’ve corrected the changelog and I’ll get the
packages corrected shortly (it looks like ubuntu 2004 was accidentally copied
across instead of 2204). If you need the packages urgently then
Hi all,
At the latest LTS release (2.15.4) I can not see packages for ubuntu 22.04
nor explicit mention support for Ubuntu client at 'Lustre 2.15.4
Changelog' (though it is mentioned at
https://wiki.whamcloud.com/display/PUB/Lustre+Support+Matrix), as in
previous releases. Does that means that
I am running Rocky 8.9 (uname -r: 4.18.0-513.9.1.el8_9.x86_64) and have,
apparently successfully, built the lustre rpms:
