you need to use 0.6.4.2 this because lustre has I/O performance issues with the latest ZFS version for linux. I used ZFS 0.6.4 and it works. only you have to build your own lustre 2.8.0 RPM and eventually build them without ldiskfs support. I was not interested in ldiskfs so I just took it
