[Lustre-discuss] 1.8.0 and vanilla 2.6.22
Dear list, if upgrading from a 1.6.7+vanilla 2.6.22 installation, is it sufficient to build the 1.8.0 Lustre modules? Or have the kernel patches for vanilla 2.6.22 also changed and I also need to build another kernel? [Lustre-discuss] mmap issue with software
Hello All: I have been trying to run MonetDB ( http://monetdb.cwi.nl/ ) and storing my data on a Lustre Filesystem (close to 1TB). The software works but it keeps crashing after certain hours. I spoke to the MonetDB people and they say something is up with Lustre and mmap(). I was wondering if anyone has any experience running MonetDB on Lustre and if they faced similar issues. [Lustre-discuss] Lustre Client using 10GigE iWarp
Hi, I have a Lustre filesystem where all servers and clients are using DDR IB interconnects. Customer wants to add an additional client which has a 10 GigE interface that they want to use to connect to the filesystem. The Lustre documentation says that iWarp interfaces are supported using OFED drivers. What would the syntax of the modprobe.conf.local file look like? I have tried this: options lnet networks=o2ib(eth2) Is that correct? The client is connected to the IB fabric using a Voltaire 10 GigE line card on a IB switch. Has anyone tested such a configuration? Should I expect it to work? Thanks, ___ Lustre-discuss mailing list Lustre-discuss@lists.lustre.org http://lists.lustre.org/mailman/listinfo/lustre-discuss
[Lustre-discuss] OpenMX
I had the dev of OpenMX on my podcast (www.rce-cast.com) this got me thinking, has anyone ever tried OpenMX with Lustre? In theory it should work, but it wasn't the case with some other tools when asking around. Note we have not tried OpenMX yet, but will evaluate it soon.
