I have tried silk strings by Alexander Raykov on my lute and they are
quite nice. I think the basses are particularly superior to most gut
basses I have tried. I would use them again if I ever got around to
working out the diameters and tension.

bought a couple of pure silk shamisen strings once. It became clear to

in the dark. They didn't sell them by gauge in the shop I bought them
