Hi Ned, Yes - End pins are good. Normally a lute bowl is built with an end cap on the outside - so the end cap plus rib behind it is probably the best part of 3mm thick. In addition, though, there usually a similar piece of wood glued INSIDE the ribs, so assuming that's of the s
