there was some confusion about what application papers as usual
actually means. I asked the secretary, and here's what she replied, in
English (my rendering):
I'd expect a biography (artistic as well as pedagogic) with photograph,
diplomas (copies only), list of publications,
Not quite - they strongly encourage female applicants, since women are
under-represented among the Hochschule staff, but it's open to either
sex.
What a great opportunity, though, and well spotted Franz.

it may read this way but this is definitely not the case. In theory,
the clause means that women are preferred if their qualification is
equal. So there is no reason why you shouldn't apply for the position.
