Can anyone give me the address of Pyramid and any other string supplier that
would have strings in lengths of 120 cm or more. I have just finished
modifying one of my old lutes into a small theorbized lute (tiorbino) but
not small enough to accept my standard wound strings.

They are not as bright as Pyramid, and they are similar in sound to
Savarez, in my opinion. As far as "beauty" of tone, I do not think of them
as different from other wound strings.

Aquila D strings are equal to the best. They sound too big and bright for
the first month, but after that they settle down they get an almost gut-like

Aquila D strings- Courses 14 - 6, and realized I had no personal
knowledge of them or feedback from anyone else. Do you know how they
compare to Savarez copper overspun and Pyramid for brightness &
sustain; not to mention that
