Dear lute netters,

some of you probably know the manuscripts

        Rés. F. 494
        Rés. F. 496

which contain several concordances/cognates for music in Terpsichore, Ballard
1611, 1614(?) and Vallet's lute books.

These manuscripts (and many others) were copied under the supervision of André
Philidor who was the father of Francois André Philidor - the greatest chess
player of the 18th century (and not so great a composer).

Best wishes,

Rainer
