What about 'qtdiag'? Does it give you some hints? I'm on: Qt 5.10.0 (x86_64-little_endian-lp64 shared (dynamic) release build; by GCC 7.2.1 20171020 [gcc-7-branch revision 253932]) on "xcb" OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed [linux version 4.14.11-1-default] and I have no problem starting lxqt.
