I personally do not like the solution of killing the acrobat process (if
you have other documents opened, then you miss them). I tried the
pdfopen and pdfclose utilities that were mentioned somewhere else in
this list and they work perfectly. Pdfclose only closes the document you

I implemented the check for a PS viewer:
- When acrodist (Acrobat Distiller) is associated with the ".ps" file
extension it is checked for the next program in OpenWithList.
- If the next program exists, it is used as PS viewer
- If it don't exist, acrodist is used as PS viewer

Sometime ago I wrote a little C program to print with lyx on windows.
It is based on gsprint which is distributed with gsview

So, who has gs and gsview is able to print using a standard (for
windows) printer setup dialog through the File->
I just tried to select some other bindings. If I do so,
Lyx does not find any bindings at all, apparently
because the space in c:\Program Files\Lyx\...
causes problems. Maybe automatically put the path
in double quotes would resolve the problem.
