This is lyx-1.3.6 on DragonFly. The libqt-mt is not linked with
libpthread.
So when the configure script attempts checking for libqt-mt it fails with:
/home/reed/pkg/qt3/lib/libqt-mt.so: undefined reference to `pthread_create'
One workaround is to manually add -lpthread to the LIBS line befor
