It works correctly (halt to flashing) under windowmaker with focus follows
mouse.

Some window managers do not send all xevents, and LyX does not realise
that it has lost focus.
Especially wms using click-to-focus seems to be a problem.

This would be like the way in which xterm cursors become holl
