Dear listmembers, I come up with another question. When I used to compile the older versions of LyX, the binary always used /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults to look for the file LyX. Compiling 1.1.6pre2 this is no longer true; even if I explicitly specify XAPPLRESDIR lyx does not care
