I don't really understand what you mean. We are talking about
longtable so it's the \caption{..} from longtable.

numbering of tables is multiplied by two, such that it goes table 2, table 4,
table 6,... instead of 1,2,3,...
the reason may be that the tex output says

\begin{longtable}
...
