It would appear that the version of Python in LyX is not passing the directory with the correct encoding. Is this a LyX Unicode bug? I am experiencing the same issue with LyX 1.6.5 and LyX 2.0. Strange: LyX 1.6.5 works for me. What version of Linux are you using? I'm using: Ubuntu

I'm using: Ubuntu 9.10. with Python 2.6.4 (r264:75706, Dec 7 2009, 18:45:15) [GCC 4.4.1] on linux2 -Jack Problem solved. I removed all versions of eLyXer from my system and redownloaded eLyXer 0.42. Now it runs fresh as a shiny copper penny, even with images in ~/Imágenes/.
