I used the delimiter bracket dialog to insert
some parentheses. (A blank one and a } to be exact.)
This was inside a labeling environment nested inside an enumeration.
Inside this I tried to insert a 1x3 matrix, but this was impossible.
The matrix could be made outside the delimiters though.

Load the attached file into lyx-1.4cvs.
Don't use a very big lyx window, the effect is ruined if
the line that says it shouldn't be visible shows in your lyx.
Adjust window size before loading if need be. (Or insert more
