False (?) LyX export warning about spaces in path

I have access to a document for which LyX gives the following warning:

  There are spaces in the paths to your BibTeX databases.
  BibTeX will be unable to find them.

But the document compiles just fine. The corresponding LaTeX code is:

  \bibliography{\string"dir1/Anony-Mized File Name\string"}

Did we perhaps add support for enclosing in "\string" after we had the
warning about spaces in the path?

I've seen this message regularly for a long time now, and ignoring it,
and everything works fine for me as well (OSX versions)
