hi all...recently i was trying to make a table in lyx (ver. 1.1.6fix3, running on gnu/redhat linux,6.2). first i insert a table float, then just after the 'Table:' i type a caption and then insert the table from the menu. when i try to view the dvi file it gives me two errors. 1. paragraph ended

Ok, it works when I use T1 encoding, however, then I get bitmapped computer modern fonts (not a problem if i use pslatex but sometimes I'd rather be proud latex user and show the world what I'm using). You get outlined Computer Modern fonts with: \usepackage{ae} Best Regards Marcus Beyer

hi...thanks for your prompt reply. hitting 'enter' solves part of the problem (no errors are generated). however the table doesn't come out centered. of course, the latex command \centering does the job. is there a way to get that correctly as well, within lyx?
